About K Art
K Art emerged from a moment of discovery. After relocating to Tanzania, the founder encountered the extraordinary talent of local artists whose ability to translate emotion, culture, and symbolism onto canvas was both powerful and deeply authentic. These artists possessed remarkable skill and creativity, yet many lacked the visibility and platform their work truly deserved. From this encounter, K Art was born.

Self Taught Painter Exploring Growth and Transformation in Acrylics.
Whitney is a self-taught painter based in Dar es salaam, Tanzania, working primarily with acrylics on canvas. She holds a degree in Human Resource Management, but her passion for art has guided her professional journey. Whitney’s love for drawing began in primary school, and though she paused during secondary school to focus on academics, her creative instincts remained a constant part of her life.
After graduating in 2018, Whitney explored other business opportunities while occasionally returning to drawing. In 2020, she made the deliberate decision to pursue painting full-time, teaching herself techniques and exploring her own artistic voice. Over the past several years, she has developed a process-driven approach that balances technical experimentation with intuitive expression, allowing her work to evolve organically with each piece.
Her paintings explore themes of personal growth, resilience, and transformation, reflecting both her own journey and universal human experiences. Through color, form, and texture, Whitney creates work that invites viewers to pause, reflect, and connect emotionally. Today, she continues to expand her practice, establishing herself as a distinctive and dedicated presence in the contemporary art world.

Contemporary Painter in Oil, Acrylic, and Watercolor Inspired by Heritage and Global Influence.
Laita Elige Chahella is a painter and visual artist based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Born in the Rukwa region, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Design from the University of Dodoma, which he earned in 2022. Chahella’s early interest in painting was inspired by his father, a painter, whose practice he observed closely and emulated from a young age. His work is also influenced by the Italian painter Marco Grassi, who serves as a personal artistic role model.
During his studies, Chahella actively participated in the University of Dodoma’s art exhibitions, joining four shows between 2021 and 2022 organized by the Department of Arts. These experiences provided him with opportunities to present his work to a wider audience and develop his unique artistic
voice.
Chahella works primarily with oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints on canvas, exploring themes that reflect both personal expression and broader visual narratives. His practice combines technical skill with inspiration drawn from family, mentorship, and the global art community, establishing him as a thoughtful and emerging presence in the contemporary Tanzanian art scene.

About Pamoja Creative Circle
Pamoja, meaning TOGETHERNESS, reflects the spirit behind PAMOJA CREATIVE CIRCLE. A space where art brings people together across cultures, perspectives, and experiences.
The idea for Pamoja was inspired by a foreign who came to Tanzania and expressed a genuine love and appreciation for art. That moment revealed how art can connect people beyond language, nationality, or background. It became a reminder that creativity has the power to create understanding and connection between individuals from different parts of the world.
